Tried running 5 miles on the treadmill. Not terrible but the knees still don't work right.

Fritz, so I have a bit of an achilles problem right now and am doing a lot of cross training. Did a workout on the Stairmaster at the gym today and did 125 floors. I have to say that after that I'm probably more impressed by your 510 floors on that damn thing than I am with your marathon wins this year.
You know they have a race up the Empire State Building every year. You should definitely enter. Might be a good cash prize that could pay for your trip to New York.

Well I have to say that I have quite a bit of experience on the stairmaster because I always use it when I am injured, which has been more often than I would like. I am at least glad that someone else appreciates it and the suffering it can cause. My knee is still messed up so I might have to start a stairmaster club. I think I saw you at the sugar house 24 hour fitness on saturday. I hope your achilles heals soon so you can get back outside.

Be sure to say hi next time you see me. I'm the coach of Garrett Jones, the guy in the picture next to you. One of my assistant coaches at Alta, Brandon Watts, says he knows you from Olympus High. He keeps track of your running career.
