Leisurely run through Millcreek. I am now wear testing the Kinvara 3 Razor edition which has a water proof upper sole. This is great timing so my socks don't get wet when I run through sprinklers and when we have the occasional flash flood.

a waterproof upper on a light shoe is actually an amazing idea for managing sprinkler on summer runs

What are your thoughts on the Kinvara 3 compared to previous versions? About the same? better? worse? I love my original-version Kinvaras and need a new pair. Trying to decide whether to step to the 3 or try and pick up some 2s. I know the 2 is real close (if not the same) as the original, but the 3 looks different (midsole, upper, etc.).

I would rate them about the same. A fancier upper sole and a more durable bottom sole seem to be the major changes but I didn't have any problems with the 2. And for fit it seems that the 3 is ever so slightly more narrow than the 2s which I don't like. Jake should probably weigh in though because he has used both models more than me.
