I went to the gym prepared with swimming fins, running shoes, and my new water running shoes. It took me about 65 minutes to water run a mile (72 lengths). It was definitely the slowest and hardest mile I have ever run. It was a huge struggle at first but I made a break through once I figured out that breathing was much easier with my face above the water. Odd how that works. After the run/swim I decided that I needed to redeem myself by running a mile on the treadmill. That mile was 10 times faster (6:30). |
