Finished in 15:52 which is probably a PR for a flat course. First mile was a little too fast (4:55) and I wasn't able to hold it. A guy from ireland, Andrew Ledwith, who ran for Iona passed me half way and finished in 15:30. Jamal also passed me with about a mile left so I finished 3rd. I won't complain. Andrew finished 5th in the country in 2009 at the ncaa championships in the 10k. Personal best in 5k is 13:50 and 10k is 28:45. I talked to him after and we are planning to meet up to run together. I will probably die but it could only help.

Not bad Fritz.. I knew about Ledwith but I didn't think he would actually be there.

Fritz, Sorry we didn't get a chance to talk. You looked controlled at the turnaround. Running strong!

very nice race, and way to go on the PR. sounds like there was some great competition there today.

Nice work man! Especially only 1 week after a 1:10 half. Keep it up!

Nice job on the PR - especially with the inversion. Did you have a headwind on half of the course?

Another good race.

From Fritz on Mon, Jan 31, 2011 at 12:20:18 from 65.116.116.6

There was a slight headwind going out but not as bad as usual. The gunky air probably was a bigger factor.
