Heading back to reality :( No bear sitings. I did receive some good advice from my 3 year old nephew during the trip: no soda, eat more broccoli, no rice krispy treats after brushing your teeth, and no peanut butter. I agree with everything but the peanut butter. I wouldn't survive without it.

PM: 3 mile run around the neighborhood. Sweaty!

After taking down about 2 jars of peanut butter on the John Muir Trail last summer, I haven't eaten it since. Used to love it, but after that trip, no desire to eat it for over a year now.

Pretty good advice for a 3 yr old... obviously he's never tried diet mountain dew, though.

I have basically had a PB&J or H or some version of one for lunch for the last 5 years and I don't think I will change any time soon. My sister has convinced my nephew that soda makes people fat, which he probably doesn't completely understand. I did my best to dispel that myth. The fact that broccoli is his favorite food is amazing though. He eats it before anything else.

PB is a staple in the diet! I don't like too much on a sandwich, but I eat it almost every day. Broccoli is another fav. Lately I've been hooked on broccoli with cheese.

Nice mileage so far this week. That's no joke!
