Getting a bit faster on the rowing machine.  8300 meters in 37 mins is my new PR.

I just checked. www.fastrowingblog.com is still available.

So is LetsRow.com

are you suggesting that rowing miles cannot be posted on the fastrunningblog.com? Vigorous rowing does burn more calories and from my experience you are more likely to puke.

No way man, I give you all the credit in the world for the x-training you are able to do!

Are you still hoping to give it a go @ CIM?

That's not at all what I was implying either. I think you are the cross training Jedi master. Anyone who can run as fast as you has every right in the world to post whatever you want.

I come to your blog for inspiration and knowledge.

good question. I certainly won't be in my best form but I still think I could put up a decent time. If I can get in a good 20 to 23 miler within the next couple of weeks without breaking myself and manage a few faster runs (probably your 5k and maybe the mesquite half) then I will probably do it. Maybe just for fun I should go out at the OTQ and see how badly I fall apart at the end. If I took that approach I predict I would finish in around 2:40 or I could be smart and run ~2:25.

Whether I run it or not, I still need to spend at least 1 to 2 months rebalancing my weak hips...I hate PT.

Well if you watched Mary Keitany yesterday, that whole "go out at record pace and then fall apart" strategy doesn't look too fun!

Hopefully you can make it on Saturday. It should be fun if we get a good weather day.

Amen about the Mary Keitany comment. Looked like a slow and horrible death.

I would much prefer to only post running miles to the blog....maybe someday.

I crashed hard in several of my first marathons. Oddly targeting even splits is much more enjoyable and typically a lot faster. Go figure. :)
