First race since Desnews. I figured I should lace them before I give SGM a go next week. This course was a super cool double loop course with lots of turns, rolling hills, dirt, and several varieties of animals.  Splits 5:09,5:18 and around 5:30.  The winner who finished about 10 seconds in front of me was quite intimidating because he was wearing a red, white and blue wrist band. Hopefully nobody shows up with one of those next week. Best of all my hamstring held up ok and I probably got my heart rate up over 170 which hasn't happened a lot lately. Oh, and for anyone curious to know, James is alive and well.

Spent the rest of the day moving out of my house to a different house about 2 miles away. It was exhausting but well worth it because now I will be able to say that I don't live in the same zip code as I group up. You will know it's my house because you get to step on a flagstone rock I won in the Mesquite Marathon on your way to the hose.

Nice!!!!

Hmmmm . . . I'm thinking I am going to find you a red, white and blue bracelet to sport at SGM!!! That way if red, white and blue guy shows up he will be like, "FREAK!!!" At that point his mental race will be toast!!! ;)

The flagstone rock is a very cool touch!

(Also, your arms look incredibly ripped it your pic!!! Wow! :))

Nice race Fritz and congrats on the new house. BTW, did you ever get the tax credit thing figured out?

It seems to have been a very positive week for you. So glad to see that the hammy is doing better. See you next week!

Teena, Great idea but I might need to run that by the race director because it could give me an unfair advantage. Thanks for the arm compliment...might be the first one I have received since high school back when I was huge. :)

Justin,The tax credit thing should be resolved because I am selling my house (fingers crossed) instead of renting it. It is supposed to close the day before SGM so hopefully there is no drama. Nice work not running 26 miles today. :) I am seriously proud of you.

Wrist bands are the ultimate PEDs! Good run considering you didn't have one.

From Kam on Tue, Oct 02, 2012 at 17:20:20 from 68.66.163.179

Did his wristband have the hologram thingy that realigns your ions and energy field? Cuz that would totally explain his strong finish. You can never be too careful about aligning your energy field and personal ionosphere.
