Ran north on 15th east, up to 9th south, south to the grocery store for a loaf of bread and back home. It is difficult/awkward to run with a grocery bag.

i agree...it's especially scary/fun to carry grocery bags when the sidewalks are icy. i do this several times a week though because we never seem to have food in our house. the worst things i've carried while running: a pineapple and a gallon of milk.

I think a backpack would help so the shoulders don't get tired and to prevent running crooked. A pineapple and milk is quite the feat. Good weighting training too.
