10 miles on the treadmill at the gym.  All the same people were at the gym today so apparently the new people with New Year resolutions will show up later.

I noticed the same thing today. Maybe because it's 2012? What would be the point of setting fitness goals if there was less than a year left to live? LOL! Just kidding.. I had the same thought as you did today also. Not very many people there today either.

Don't worry, I'll be showing up there now...finally gave in and got a membership! Hopefully I WILL be one of the ones that doesn't use it much after a month.

Just remember the 80/20 rule. 80% of the people at the gym in January pay for all of the nice equipment the 20% of us get to use the other 11 months.

i ran by the gold's in sugarhouse yesterday. it was packed and everyone was sprinting on the treadmills. as part of my new year's resolution, i did a somersault on the sidewalk and continued on my way.

Gyms get a bad rap but for the record I think they are great. They are for those days when I need a machine to motivate me to move.

But as I mentioned in my earlier post, I am trying to wean myself from 253 visits last year to only 120.
