7 miles straight up the mountain in Merano (almost 3,000 ft) then back on the dirt road. The trails systems in Italy are absolutely unreal. They go FOREVER and there are roads and trams to the peaks of every mountain. I could get used to this place.

8 miles up and down a bike path near Merano. The bike paths are also amazing in this city.

PM: used the city bikes in Verona to zip around the city for a couple of hours. Lots is shopping and gelato in this town plus Juliet's balcony.

AM: 6.5 miles weaving through the streets and alleys and over bridges in Venice. I had no idea where I was going when I set out so it became mentally taxing trying to find a route to run that didn't end in a crowd or a dead end.

AM2: walked 5.5 miles around Venice. Lots of fancy shops, gelato, street vendors selling selfie sticks, rickety looking buildings, gondolas, water taxis and pizzerias at every corner.

10.5 miles (first 2 with Amiee) around Venice. I didn't get as creative with my route this time because I didn't want to get lost. I left my shoes in the trash can in the hotel. They are too stinky for my bag and they have over 1,000 miles on them.

Now off to the Marco Polo Aeroporto for a 16 hour trek back to SLC! I will find a way to do push ups on the plane.

9.5 miles around Millcreek. Streets were much less crowded than Venice.

Solid STG workout with the Utah Country Crew (Scott, Matt, Mike, Reed, Taylor, and Jon). We did the standard 10 up Provo/Southfork Canyons then 10 miles of tempo back to the soccer field with a 3 mile cool down.

All of us basically stayed in a pack to mile 8 then Taylor, Scott, and Mike pulled away a bit. Not many races have that many guys running at that pace for 10 miles. It's always woth the drive.
