stationary bike at the gym to get the legs working again. Fortunately I an nowhere near as sore as I was after last year's race or the Steeplechase, which is an indication that I ran a smarter race.

that's great to hear that you are not too sore. you ran an impressive race yesterday, and the fact that you aren't too beat up from it is a great sign.
i've never been so sore in my life...
sitting down requires a stable surface to hold on to :)

Or maybe it's an indication that you're capable of running a 2:14 and you were just jogging.
Just a thought.

Maybe, just maybe, I could have lasted 13 miles at a 2:14 pace but then I would have walked the remaining 13 and finished in 4 hours. Give me two years though and I will get there :). in all seriousness, the Steeplechase is the perfect tune up for a race like this because it completely decimates your quads.

Probably won't see you up at Alta tonight right?

I didn't say I wasn't sore. just not as sore as other races. This means I should be back running by Friday but today would be pushing it. Have fun!
