Treadmill run with a new pair of Nike Free's which feel like slippers. Not sure how my feet would hold up on the road but I like them for the treadmill.

i think the frees are great, but they have a short life. i have ripped through the back of several pairs after 300 miles or so (depending on the version -- some are more robust than others).
by the way, did you wear the flyknits for the marathon? if so, how did they work out?

I wore my regular Lunar Racers for the marathon. The Flyknits I had were lightweight trainers but I think the olympic marathoners will be wearing a version that have the lunar soles. Those should be nice.
The Frees I have now are another test shoe called the Free 360. They don't have the cracked sole and they have a stretchy sock-like lining. Comfy but not a lot cushion or support.

oh yes, i remember you saying that at DD...
i'm interested to see the 360s. no cracked sole? how can it be?

nope. Nike is changing all the rules. I will attempt to wear them on the road during a group run.
