The trail run yesterday beat up my legs quite a bit.  I shouldn't be surprised considering that my feet haven't touched dirt since the Buffalo Run in March and I haven't run much in the last 3 weeks.  My lack of trail specific preparation will make for an interesting Steeplechase this Saturday.  The one thing I am certain of is that I won't be able to run on Sunday.

i'm glad your odds of running the steeplechase keep going up! you said 75% yesterday, but now it appears you are are 100%? i heard some crazy stories over the weekend about that race. good luck.

Fritz, I'm happy to hear you're ready to get back to racing. I think you'll do very well, you've been super consistent at cross training recently despite your injury. I look forward to hearing about your race this Saturday.

Just for extra stability right now have you tried using the CEP compression socks. I've really noticed a difference. These tend to fit tighter than other brands and cost a bit more. But this could help on the trails as well.

Allie- Unless things take a turn for the worse or my PT says I am a complete idiot, I will be running the race this Saturday.

Kory- I do have CEP socks and shorts, which I like a lot, but I typically only wear them in races. Good idea to break them out just to add the extra support.
