Sadly a duck was hit by a car in the parking lot at the gym. Should the duck have seen the car or should the driver have seen the duck? I think they are both to blame.

when it comes to ducks, it's always the driver's fault.
RIP, duck.

As I was leaving the gym this morning there was a "husband and wife" duck couple just sitting in the middle of the road. They wouldn't move. I had to go around. If I had hit them it would have been my fault but it would have served them right.
Fortunately for them I have no hostility towards ducks.

I should report that the duck was finally laid to rest (possibly in the dumpster). You would hope that ducks are smart enough to realize that cars are bigger than them and they should try to avoid being hit. But I agree that drivers should be able to avoid them.
