Sadly I didn't get to shovel this morning so I had to get my cross training done at the gym.   I am subscribed to the "what works for me may not work for you" paradigm.

Its the truth, no two people could follow the same plan and respond the same way. I think its a lot of why I struggled in college... trying to follow a plan that was tailored to the team and not to the individual.

Ah, but are those 2 easy miles the beginnings of a paradigm shift?

If I were you, I too would continue doing what works for you, especially based on your phenomenal results. Can't argue with your record.

Sorry to hear you didn't get to shovel this morning. I've never been so glad to live in a condo in my entire life this winter.

100% agree with sticking with what works for you. Everyone is different and you won 4 marathons in 2012 with your plan so I think it's working for you. :)

Fritz, no one understands how their body responds to training better than you. No one. You have a gift.

BAM- I have been doing an abnormal amount of cross-training this year because I can't seem to nip this hamstring thing in the butt. Once I do, my running will become more consistent and hopefully I can work up to running ~80 or more miles a week without getting injured. I am fully on board with the idea that running is the best way to get better at running...but of course I have also found that cross-training isn't detrimental to my progress and serves a purpose, at least for me, with certain injuries.

So what is the next interesting subject we can debate? I think we have exhausted this one.

Rachelle- The 4 marathons was great but how I did it certainly wasn't planned. Going forward I suspect some of the planner paradigm would serve me well.
