Ran through Sugar House and did a 5K tempo at ~16 mins (5:18,5:08,5:05). For the tempo I ran south on Guardsman and 1500 E. so it was aided. Ended with two laps of SHP.

Looking good. You should practice that 4:54 down memory grove.

BJ is racing so hopefully he will want a rematch

Are you going to race him running the full while he's running the half?

From Fritz on Tue, Apr 15, 2014 at 21:05:04 from 98.202.9.237

I heard he is running the full but I can't confirm or deny that because the confirmation tool on the website doesn't work. Either way, I think I will try to be the first to cross the finish line and not the first to cross the mile 6 marker. It's too bad they don't give time bonuses for winning intermediate sprints as they are described in cycling.

Some races do that. Check out the part about the New Orleans 8K -

That's crazy. The one guy who won started with a 4:09 mile. That must have hurt.

i will throw in $10 if you run the stretch through liberty park under 3:30.

He led at every intermediate timepoint!

The MTF 15K I ran a few years ago had a $100 bonus for the first person through 5K. It was great for me... the 3-4 guys who went for it eliminated themselves from the overall podium.
