Ran out to Emeryville along the bay.  It was about as windy as the day at Saltair for the 15k.  I think I earned my Peet's Coffee.

Sounds like a nice run.

I just registered for the North Face 50 in San Francisco in December.Gonna focus on long trail runs all Summer and Fall.

Lucky for you the trails at Alta and Snowbird will melt out early this year, Rob.

I'd like to get out that way for a race this fall as well. If not TNF, Andrea and I were thinking about the Big Sur 1/2 Marathon in November.

Nice. What races are you running to prepare? The Wahsatch Steeplechase (best race ever), Speedgoat 50k, Jupiter Steeplechase, Pikes Peak Marathon, and Mid Mountain Marathon are a few you might want to consider.

Oh, and if you want to get a taste of the terrain in Marin County you should check out the Double Dipsea in June. It's about 13-14 miles and it has a handicap start.

Rob is just going to do laps up and down Mt Olympus from his house

that would be great preparation. You might also consider hammering a bike up our canyons. great for the quads.
