I wasn't creative enough to think of a loop route so I did an out and back to 11th avenue.

i do that a lot -- "where in this vast world shall i run today?" meeeeh...liberty park.

From Jake K on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 10:46:20 from 67.177.11.154

my standards are horsepark x 2-8 or loop by your sister's house over and over looking for Teddy

From Fritz on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 11:26:56 from 65.116.116.6

This out and back is actually fairly engaging because I run along that high traffic road in front of primary children's hospital with no shoulder.

@Jake - Teddy actually was lost for an hour a week ago. Next time that happens we will recruit your services.

Good luck at Draper Days!

I figured I might see you down there tomorrow. Guessing you decided not to race?

From SpencerSimpson on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 12:05:58 from 65.44.123.2

Great to see you back at with the game plan Fritz. Hope to run with you soon

From Fritz on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 12:13:05 from 65.116.116.6

I guess I am being cheap this week because I didn't want to spend $34 for a 5k. I will, however, be running the DesNews Half.

Please excuse me Allie. I would have much preferred to run the full.

From Jake K on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 12:14:50 from 67.177.11.154

That's pretty steep. Late registration prices can be insane. $10+ / mile is like NYC Marathon type pricing.

From Fritz on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 12:14:56 from 65.116.116.6

Oh geez, they are still taking entries, despite saying it closed last night, and now the price is $39.05. That is 5 cents too much.

Plus, packet picket tonight (in Draper) is mandatory from 6-8pm. Nothing like a bonus rush-hour drive.

From Fritz on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 12:30:48 from 65.116.116.6

With the exception of marathons, I don't ever believe them when they say no race day packet pick up.

"can" isn't the same as "must" :)

Packet Pick-up

Packets can be picked up on Friday, July 19th at the Salt Lake Running Company, 11400 South State, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

From Jake K on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 12:32:26 from 67.177.11.154

The email they sent out said

"5K participants must pick up their packet on Friday night."

From Fritz on Fri, Jul 19, 2013 at 12:46:03 from 65.116.116.6

hmmm...well then I guess you should buy a pair of Kinvaras while you are there.
