Fun (except for the first mile) slushy long run with Kevin, Collin, Matt, Brandon, Mike, and Jake. We met on Wasatch Blvd at 6200 S., ran down through Holladay, south to Highland High, back up to Wasatch then south on Wasatch back to the cars.  We did an especially good job hogging the roads without shoulders and jumping over puddles.  I did, however, drop my glove in the Maverick gas station toilet but it was already wet at that point. Brandon threatened to drop us towards the end but for the most part the pace remained fairy casual.

Afterwards we all went to Jake and Andrea's for a fully assorted breakfast prepared by Andrea, Amiee, Allie and James. The pumpkin pancakes, blueberries and scones were especially good. Nice work!

Thanks for today, so fun. The only thing I threatened to drop were a few more pancakes :).

Scones! Those are a weakness of mine! Sounds good. And it sounds like you guys had a great run. One day I'll have to come down and join you guys.

You are probably thinking of fried scones. This baked version, prepared my Allie, was equally good yet different.

Interesting that Utah is called out in the Wikipedia scone page for their definition of scones.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scone

In Utah, the bread products locally called "scones" are similar to Native American frybread and are made from a sweet yeast dough, with buttermilk and baking powder and/or soda added, and they are fried rather than baked. They are customarily served with butter and honey.[11]

yes, utah's definition of the scone is confusing. these were tropical island british scones made in salt lake city using a recipe from new york.

i hope you didn't retrieve the glove...

Fun run this morning Fritz. Definitely a good thing to get a 20-miler in in these conditions. And I agree -- excellent breakfast!

Hey you forgot to mention the complimentary iron pills that we make all of our guests take

From Fritz on Sat, Dec 15, 2012 at 16:32:20 from 74.82.68.160

My aplogies. It's hard not to remember them because they make my tummy hurt yet are supposed to be good. I appreciate the party favor and breakfast.

Of course I grabbed the glove. They are my favorite running gloves, the water appeared clean when I saved it and I didn't want my hand to freeze for the rest of the run. As a precaution I rinsed them out when I got home so they should be good to go. I am glad you brought some international flair to the breakfast with the scones.

Yeah, that was the best part Jake. My iron pill was hiding in my blueberry muffin. Tasty!

Fritz, I recall that you ate breakfast with that glove on.

Nice run. Way to brave the snow. Wish I would have made it out with you guys today. Definitely bummed I missed the breakfast.
