First real run in quite some time.  Ran with Jake, Josh, Nate and Rob from HHS, through Tanner Park, along Wasatch Blvd., to Ruth's Diner in Emigration and back. I was only planning to run around 10 but couldn't resist going up Emigration for a few more. We picked it up a bit on the way back and got in a few miles around 5:35, one that included a dart across Foothill Blvd.  Body parts held together decently and most importantly, the Garmin appears to still work. I clocked the third fastest time on the prestigious Strava segment "1900 E. Sunnyside to Redondo".

Way to ease gently back into things!

You looked great today.

It would take way too long to get into shape if I eased back into it. Great to run with you guys today.

I wonder if your 1900 E segment is private? Doesn't show up in my results or yours that I can see. Great catching up with you.

I see you on the leader board. Can you not see that page?

I see it in that link but not in my results page. Strange.

How did you go from "I am not going to run this morning!" to SIXTEEN MILES?!?

From Fritz on Sun, Mar 09, 2014 at 15:06:47 from 174.251.16.35

The weather was too nice to only run 10.

"It would take way too long to get into shape if I eased back into it."

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :-)

Stay healthy! We need the SLC XC team in top form this fall!

You're right. It is hard to get in shape when I can't run

From Jake K on Sun, Mar 09, 2014 at 20:50:59 from 67.177.11.154

If anyone can, it's you. The guy who fixes the machines at the gym would agree.

From Fritz on Sun, Mar 09, 2014 at 21:00:01 from 98.202.9.237

Running shape is a bit different. Or maybe I could try jumping off my roof a few times a week to simulate the pounding.
