Cross training again because the hamstring doesn't feel operable yet.  First test will be this evening because I will have to run the bases in softball.  No pitch runners are allowed.

I hope you're not planning to all-out sprint!

From Superfly on Tue, May 22, 2012 at 12:56:39 from 74.211.21.81

Just hit it out of the park. Then the running effort can be much slower as you round the bases.

I only run fast enough to prevent getting thrown out. No faster.

Clyde- I would love to but my weight training hasn't been going well (actually it's non existent) so I can't hit the ball far enough. :(

Hit it over first base then it is easy to get on then let someone else worry about hitting it out. thats what I do ha ha

Try and get hit by pitches, then you can just walk to 1st base.

Or see how many steroids you can pump into your arms in the next couple hours.

I will have to go with the steroid approach because there are no bean balls in soft pitch softball. The ball doesn't hurt enough to give an extra base I guess.

Hey Fritz, just out of curiousity, how long does 6.55 miles of stairmaster take you? I've never done stairmaster and was wondering what time of time commitment that is.

From Fritz on Thu, May 24, 2012 at 09:08:25 from 65.116.116.6

Riley, At a high intensity the machine says I am doing about 11 miles an hour which can't be accurate. So I basically just log the miles based on perceived effort compared to the effort of running. If I am working but not maxed out I log 1 mile every 7 minutes to make it easy.
