30 minute bike and 6.5 hard miles on the stairmaster.  While my running fitness is deteriorating my stairmaster/bike fitness levels are coming back.  Great but not so great.

I skipped out on softball last night which was probably a good thing because we lost 25-2.  "The other team was really good."  Excuses are dumb.

25-2. ouch. i assume it's because you weren't there.

i think you have demonstrated more than once that your work on the bike/stairmaster turns you into a fitness powerhouse.

by the way, your mwp is 28.2% -- that has to be one of the highest of anyone, ever. i wonder if that data is listed somewhere...

Man, 25-2? Your wins above replacement metric must be higher than anyone else in the league!

I spent about 10 minutes trying to think of what mpw could mean and I even checked this site for common acronyms.

http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/MWP

Apparently MPW is more commonly associated with Meta World Peace and Medieval Warm Period than Marathon Winning Percentage. I did submit the new definition so maybe we can increase its usage.

I certainly don't think my presence would have given us a W. Best case we they would have 20 run ruled us in the 6th inning instead of the 5th.

Now I've learned about the Medieval Warming Period, thanks allie and wikipedia!

ah ha! http://www.rrm.com/newsarchives/archive11/Best%20Marathon%20win-loss%20records.pdf

these mwps are really good, but i'm still more impressed by yours because a) zero DNF and b) 39 marathons

MWP for MVP!

Who is this Samuel Wanjiru guy? No way the Chicago or London wins rank up there with wins at Palos Verdes, Park City, or the world renowned SLC Marathon :)

From Rob Murphy on Wed, May 30, 2012 at 13:06:56 from 205.127.70.66

I 'm certain Fritz could destroy Sammy Wanjiru in a marathon now. Even with his bum hammy.

From Rob Murphy on Wed, May 30, 2012 at 13:07:22 from 205.127.70.66

Sorry if anyone found that offensive.

From Fritz on Wed, May 30, 2012 at 13:14:00 from 65.116.116.6

If I can ride my road bike I am sure I could beat, even with the bum hammy.
