13,150 meters on the rowing machine in 60 mins. I will need to buy my own machine so I can put it outside.

You need to move to Boston so you can row up and down the Charles every day.
I'm waiting for you to enter your first regatta.

I want you to do a 2000 meter time trial. The U.S. indoor rowing championship was won last year in 5:51.

Hmmmm...that's a sub 1:30 / 500 meter pace. Right now I could probably only do 2000 meters in 8 minutes (2:00 / 500). There is a lightweight division for guys under 160 lbs so imaybe I could be more competitive in that class.

I say go for it. Competition is competition whether it's running or rowing.

Sorry to find out about your knee. I have been a very light-weight participant on the blog--not referring to my physical weight of course, where I definitely don't fall into the light-weight category.
I like Rob's idea for a rowing competition. I wonder if they have a nice club for training and racing along the Jordan River? I loved watching people out in the early morning rowing along the Thames river in England when I lived there. Does OSDC have a remote office outside of London?

Just read through about your injury. Hope recovery is going well--and quickly.
