Standard pre-race tune up at the gym. They gave me bib #1 again which was a jinx last year because I finished 2nd behind Jon Kotter. Kotter isn't racing because he thinks taking the bar exam is more important but another recent BYU grad, Alden Bahr, is. Should be a fun time. Good luck to everyone.

I'll be there at the finish line cheering you in!! I think the #1 won't be a jinx this year.

Good Luck! I'll trade you numbers if you don't like yours.

Yep, I just found all that out while at the expo. Steve is #5 but I bet he will be third. With those downhills I wouldn't be surprised if he was shadowing you and Alden early on. Then he will tear a hip muscle or something and hobble home in 2:50.

This is Alden's first marathon but he's fast. Experience vs. Speed????

Sounds like the same set-up as last year for you.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. The race director said Alden is "more talented" than Jon but Alden's marathon'ing skills are TBD. Should be interesting nonetheless.
