Great run with a huge crew in Riverton.  Somehow they inspired me enough to get out there and started by 7:30.  Outside of race weeks that is a rare event for me for a Saturday.  I am looking forward to doing more in the future.

We ran the Riverton Half course, regrouped in the parking lot, then went out for another 8.  Matt pushed the pace at the end of the Half so we ended up averaging around 6:30 with the last mile at about 5:25.  Then to finish off the run Jake coerced me to run an extra mile at about 5:12.

Going into the run I was quite worried about how my hip would hold up considering that it has started to feel achy again.  Fortunately I think it held up ok and hopefully the 30 mins of PT afterwards at the gym will help.

I have to say the scenery and river trail in Riverton, amongst the many mansions, are very nice.  And if you like franchise restaurants I think they are all represented within a square mile.

I forgot to mention Coach Jerry Sloans house is along the course there. It was good running with you today Fritz! Must do that more!

You mean they have suburban sprawl and McMansions in Riverton? I would have never guessed that.

Good run Fritz. A lot easier to pick it up at the end when you have somebody with you!

Its a shame, now that we know Jerry Sloan lived in those neighborhoods, that we didn't see him and Karl Malone out shooting some hoops.

Very cool! I really wanted to join in the fun with all of you (I may have been able to run the 13.1 in the time it took you to run 21 :-) ) this morning but had to be at a basketball game by 9. Sounds like it was a huge party!

Glad your hip cooperated! :-)

You guys had a great crew this morning. I can definitely see some major PRs go down for a bunch of you with these types of training runs. Hope you can keep that hip healthy!
