11 miles on the treadmill with the last 6 at 5:55.  Didn't feel great.  Must have been that extra hour of sleep or the massage I got yesterday.

Did you like the massage?

From Fritz on Sun, Nov 04, 2012 at 14:10:28 from 75.165.252.217

I liked everything about it except for the 10 minutes she spent digging her elbow into my lower back. It feels like I did about 300 back raises. Fortunately no damage was done as I was able to run just fine.

Apparently she thinks I am "good project" and should come back to see her regularly. Maybe I am just out of touch with my body but I have a hard time noticing any significant changes from stuff like this. I suppose it's still worth trying out for a few more sessions. The therapist seemed to be very good so if you need a deep massage I would recommend going to her.

Who is you therapist? I like doing the massages every few weeks or so during heavy training under the thinking that it helps stave off injuries. Might just be a mental thing for me though.

One another note, how are you feeling about Japan? Feeling ready? When is it?

they should move DST to like Wednesday. The extra hour of sleep would be more useful mid-week.

Amen to your massage sentiments! :-)

I agree with Allie. Massage, sleep and food really aren't necessary.

Justin, I am using my wuss card and probably just running the half in Japan. The time change will likely really mess me up and I haven't done a run over 14 since SGM. :) The race is next Sunday.
